This KCT type of split core current transformer is meticulously designed to be compact and easily accessible while maintaining the accuracy required for kWh meters. These transformers offer a significant advantage by allowing seamless placement without disturbing or disconnecting the main cables they monitor.
The KCT transformers feature two insulated terminal covers for connecting S1 and S2 cables, securely locking down over the terminal screws to fully insulate the connections. This design is especially advantageous when used with Autometers cable harnesses, known for their color-coded and individually numbered conductors, ensuring a straightforward and hassle-free connection from the current transformer to the electricity meter.
